Message from the President
Dear Champions,
Welcome to the Classic on the Dan. Coming back to Danville for this weekend means a lot to me. I grew up here, played ball here, and learned some of my earliest lessons in gyms just like the ones you'll be in this weekend.
Basketball gave me structure, confidence, and people who cared enough to push me. What I wanted to build here is the kind of experience I wish had existed back then, something that supports the athlete and the family, not just the scoreboard.
This weekend is about competition, yes, but it's also about moments. About learning, connecting, and being part of a community that still believes in doing things the right way.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for supporting your athlete. I hope this weekend gives you great basketball, meaningful experiences, and memories you'll carry with you long after the final buzzer.

The Classic on the Dan is a youth basketball showcase for boys and girls ages 10–16, produced by The Talent Showcase (TTS). It is a competitive basketball weekend designed for today's youth sports environment.
This showcase brings everything together in one place:

- Community events are part of the weekend experience
This weekend is not about adding pressure. It's about clarity.
About Coach Harry Johnson
Coach Harry Johnson dedicated his life to teaching basketball and shaping athletes in Danville. He viewed the game as a classroom for learning discipline, accountability, teamwork, and respect. While winning was important, character and conduct were paramount. The Classic on the Dan honors his legacy by fostering organized competition and promoting growth, character, and community among the next generation of athletes.

On-site trainers provide focused one-on-one and team sessions designed to reinforce fundamentals, preparation habits, and in-game decision making. These sessions support development without disrupting competition flow.
